ABOUT MYOPIA

Medical research has revealed that unhealthy device habits can lead to Myopia – a condition that increases the length of the eye, causing distant objects to appear blurred. Of those who develop Myopia, almost 20% are at risk of developing sight-threatening high-Myopia, which may lead to total blindness.

FIGHT THE EPIDEMIC

By 2050, half of the world’s population will be Myopic. Singapore has been labelled ‘the Myopia capital of the world’, with almost 80% of school children now suffering the condition. The only way to combat this is to raise awareness of the issue and show people how to enjoy technology without harming their eyes.

To get involved, simply take a selfie in front of a mirror with your phone across your eyes. Post it with the hashtag #seepastthescreen
